4. Dallas Mavericks: 10th pick in NBA Draft
This fit makes much more sense than Indiana does. The Mavericks have relied on players like Reggie Bullock and Tim Hardaway Jr. for the past few seasons to complement Luka Doncic and the newly acquired Kyrie Irving. Aside from Christian Wood, those two guards arguably have the worst supporting cast in the NBA. Dallas management had the team lose games on purpose to garner this pick, so they must make it worth their while.
Mark Cuban’s squad has always preferred to pair Luka with shooters, but he has not put the right ones on the court. That is where Gradey Dick comes in. He could play as the team’s small forward while offering size and an elite jump shot.
Someone like Dick is a match made in heaven for Luka. With Doncic and Irving drawing a considerable amount of double teams, Dick will have plenty of open threes to shoot. He could effortlessly have a three-point percentage above 40 percent at the end of the year with the Mavericks.
