When you think of De Sousa, what comes to your mind? Whatever it is, it is probably not something positive. Whether it be his role in the brawl at the end of the Kansas State game, running into issues with the law, or the… yeah, let’s not go there.

Nothing good came from De Sousa’s tenure with the Jayhawks. It got Kansas into a whole lot of trouble — all for a player they hardly ever used. Thankfully for him, he still plays professional basketball in France.

The one highly touted prospect transferred to Chattanooga and played well last year. He averaged 11.0 points and 6.9 rebounds for the Mocs in 2021-22 before deciding to play overseas. It is probably best that he gets a fresh start, as his time in NCAA basketball was one to forget.
