SR Tyon Grant-Foster — Transfer portal

2022-23 season stats: N/A

The case of TGF is certainly a peculiar one. After an unsuccessful season at KU in 2020-21, he announced he would enter the transfer portal. He then chose DePaul as his next school. Completely normal, right?

Not exactly. He played one half for the Blue Demons before encountering a heart problem in the locker room. Ever since then, he has not played a game of NCAA basketball. Grant-Foster announced he would redshirt in 2021-22 and disappeared this year.

Thankfully, his health is in stable condition now. He was medically cleared to play basketball again and entered the transfer portal two weeks back. It is a feel-good story for a player who did not know if he would ever see the hardwood again. Now, TGF will look to continue his journey and leave his past behind him. He will have two years of eligibility remaining for whichever school he transfers to.
