Kansas basketball has been active in the transfer portal since the off-season commenced a month ago. Five Jayhawks transferred from the program with hopes of finding extended playing time at a different school. It is not the first time a group of players from KU have transferred.

There is no doubt that Kansas has one of the most illustrious histories in college basketball. Players who decided to stay all four years at the school have become Jayhawk legends — look no further than Danny Manning and Frank Mason III. However, some players are simply not cut to play under the spotlight of Allen Fieldhouse.

With the transfer portal becoming as active as ever, we decided to look back at some former Jayhawks who found a fresh start elsewhere. Some have flourished in their new roles, while others probably wish they stayed under the wing of their Hall of Fame head coach one more year.
