2018 – Dedric Lawson

One of the most under-appreciated seasons in KU history came from Lawson in 2018. It is overlooked by the fact that this was the team that broke the Big 12 regular season championship streak, but it is one of the better statistical seasons in recent memory. He led the conference in both points and rebounds, carrying a very young and otherwise underwhelming Jayhawk team to a four-seed in the NCAA Tournament. If KU wins the Big 12 in 2018, Lawson is the conference Player of the Year, an All-American, and has one of the best single-season performances in KU history.
