2002 – Nick Collison

Collison had one of the best all-around careers in Kansas history, and it culminated in one of the best single-player and team seasons in KU history. He started 130 of his 142 games played while averaging 10 or more points per game in all four seasons. In his final campaign, he put up 18.5 points and 10 rebounds en route to a Big 12 Player of the Year award and first-team All-American selection. Unfortunately for him and the rest of Jayhawk nation, Carmelo Anthony and the Syracuse Orange played spoiler in the National Championship. Still, Collison had one of the best seasons and careers of any Jayhawk in history.
