2022 – Jalen Wilson

The fourth All-American in as many years for the Jayhawks, Jalen has been one of the best growth stories under Bill Self and maybe in the history of Kansas Basketball. After sitting out his freshman year with a broken foot, he immediately stepped into the starting lineup during his second season. Unfortunately, COVID got the best of him and he was very limited in the team’s loss to USC in the NCAA Tournament. He was the third leading scorer in the 2021 championship and really came into his own in his final season in 2022. There were questions about whether or not he could handle being the top dog, and he answered those questions with an All-American and Big 12 Player of the Year season. His 20-point, eight-rebound averages will likely land him in the first round of this year’s NBA Draft.
