After blowing a 13-point halftime lead, the Jayhawks found themselves down three with just 23 seconds left. Zach Clemence got his own missed shot and kicked it out to Kevin McCullar, who sunk a game-tying three with 12 seconds left. After a stop on the defensive end, it was on to overtime.
Only 11 points were scored in the extra period, but the most important two came with less than a second left. After another missed Zach Clemence three, Bobby Pettiford collected the loose rebound and finished a flying putback attempt with just .2 seconds on the clock. Wisconsin was unable to get a shot off, and KU survived by the skin of its teeth.
Thankful for Bobby Pettiford Jr.https://t.co/MIBZqrAEqh
