Another game that was a nail-biter from start to finish. Iowa State led by no more than five points, and KU never pulled ahead by more than seven. In the second half, it was a one-possession game for all but 1:11 of game time.

KJ Adams played hero for the Jayhawks late in the game, with a free throw to extend the lead to three (before a Cyclone three tied the game again), a tough layup with just 10 seconds left, and a rebound to close the game after a missed three-point attempt by Iowa State.
