I hate to include a loss on this list. I REALLY hate to include a loss to our bitter in-state rival on this list. It wasn’t even necessarily a great game to watch, thanks in part to 49 total fouls and three players fouling out. Yet, it was an overtime game that kept everyone on the edge of their seat from start to finish. You can not ask for much more in one of the better rivalries in college basketball.
Unfortunately for the Jayhawks, they came out on the losing end. A career-high 38 points from Jalen Wilson wasn’t enough to overcome just three points combined from Dajuan Harris and Kevin McCullar, as well as eight bench points compared to K-State’s 31. Had Bill Self not taken a timeout before Jalen Wilson sunk a ridiculous three, Kansas likely would have swept the Wildcats this year.
If KU had pulled out a win, this would be number one on the list. They didn’t, however, so it is ranked just outside the top five.
