3. Malik Newman: 1 season (39 games) – 31.6 MPG, 14.2 PPG, 5.0 RPG, 2.1 APG

Newman had some ups and downs during his lone season at Kansas, but his performance in March is nearly unmatched in the history of the Jayhawks. In the eight postseason games, he averaged 22.5 points and 54 percent from deep. The biggest of his performances was a 32-point, seven-rebound outing in an overtime win over Duke in the Elite Eight. What is even crazier than the stat line is the fact that he scored all 13 of KU’s points in overtime. Kansas doesn’t make the Final Four without him, but they probably don’t even make it out of the second round if not for his 28-point performance.
