Tonight’s sold-out Sunflower Showdown features two top-15 teams as the No. 13 Kansas State Wildcats host our No. 2 Kansas Jayhawks. We’ve won 15 of the last 16 matchups and I LOVE the value on Kansas to cover the modest spread.
Regardless, you’re about to win BIG tonight thanks to BetMGM, where you’ll turn $10 into $200 if the Jayhawks make at least ONE three-pointer!
See below how to claim your $200, as well as my best bet for the huge matchup.
BetMGM Kansas
If you sign up for BetMGM and wager $10 or more on any KU vs. K-State bet, you’ll win $200 in bonus bets if either team makes a three-pointer in the game! Yup, that’s +2000 odds for ANYONE to make a three!
Just follow these steps to claim your $200:
- Sign up for BetMGM using this link
- Verify your identity
- Deposit at least $10
- Wager $10 or more on any KU vs. K-State bet
Provided you bet at least $10, you’ll receive $200 in bonus bets as long as either team makes one measly three-pointer!
It doesn’t matter if you win or lose that first bet. You’ll either win and get those winnings plus $200 or lose and still get $200!
Given there’s been at least one made three in every single KU game this year, I wouldn’t worry about winning this bet. Shoot, Gradey Dick might be good for four or five himself!

Now, let’s get into my best bet for the matchup.
Best NCAAB Kansas vs. Kansas State Bet
Do you feel the energy in the air!? This is the most anticipated Kansas vs. K-State game I can remember, as the spread hasn’t been this close between these teams for at least 15 years!
While the Wildcats are enjoying a fine season and should put up a fight, this small spread just gives our Jayhawks a ton of betting value and I’m thrilled to back us this evening.
While Kansas State is a quality team, the Jayhawks have several key advantages that will propel them to victory. When I handicap college basketball games, three of the key categories I look at are free throws, turnovers, and rebounding. Well, Kansas reigns supreme in all three.
The Wildcats rank 214th nationally in turnover percentage (19.3%) and 279th in opponent free throw rate (36%). Kansas ranks in the top 100 in both categories and should generate extra points in transition and at the charity stripe on those turnovers.
Kansas State also struggles on the glass, with the 236th-best defensive rebounding percentage (30.1%). The Jayhawks rebound over 31% of their misses (107th nationally) and those second-chance points will prove critical.
Back Kansas to improve to 6-2 against the spread in our last eight games against K-State as the Jayhawks pick up their 16th win in 17 tries against our in-state rivals. Rock Chalk, baby!
Before you lock your KU bet in, don’t forget to first sign up for BetMGM and secure your easy $200. All you need is a single made three-pointer and you’re walking away with a huge payday!
