Kansas vs Texas Odds: Line, Spread, Over/Under

Coming off an 83-59 shellacking of Baylor, the 19-3 #10 Kansas Jayhawks look to extend their winning streak to three when they take on the 17-6 #23 Texas Longhorns tonight at 8:00 PM CST. WynnBET has the Jayhawks as 1-point favorites and -120 on the moneyline (bet $12 to win $10) while the over/under is 132.

Kansas vs Texas Prediction

The Jayhawks are 15-2 in their last 17 and look like a true national title contender. With Ochai Agbaji one of the favorites to win the Naismith Player of the Year and Christian Braun, Dajuan Harris and Jalen Wilson playing great, Kansas is loaded. Ranking 3rd nationally in adjusted offensive efficiency and 33rd in defensive, they’re not only deep but extremely balanced as well.

They take on a Longhorns squad that has won four of five behind a stout defense that has only allowed more than 51 points once in that stretch. Texas boasts the 8th best adjusted defensive efficiency in the country and will aim to frustrate the Jayhawks’ ball-handlers with their 4th-highest defensive turnover rate.

That could be an issue for a Kansas offense that turns it over on 18.5% of their possessions, but Texas turns it over on 19% of theirs so this should balance out over the course of the game.

I believe oddsmakers are giving Texas too much credit despite some warning signs. The Longhorns are just 2-5 against the spread (ATS) in their last seven and Kansas is easily the best team they’ll have played recently.

Texas Tech dominated Texas 77-64 last week and the Jayhawks beat Tech just a couple weeks ago. The Longhorns have just the 184th-ranked 3-point shooting percentage and if you aren’t hitting shots, you need Kansas to go ice cold to have a chance.

I don’t think the Jayhawks are going cold and love them to come out with a statement win today. Give me Kansas -1 (-110) as Agbaji continues his climb up the Naismith leaderboard and the Jayhawks move to 9-1 in Big 12 Conference play.

While I think oddsmakers are underestimating an excellent Kansas team, I hope you aren’t making the same mistake by underestimating the free $200 cash you’ll get from WynnBET today. Head on over to WynnBET to take advantage. Bet $10, Win $200, sign up for WynnBET now!
