Kansas vs Colorado – Boulder, CO

Watch for former Jayhawk player Tad Boyle to give KU a run for its money. While KU has dominated the series pretty handily, there was some drama last time KU was in Boulder.

The Buffaloes defeated KU on an off-balance buzzer-beating shot deep behind the 3 point line.

Kansas in the ESPN Events Invitational – Orlando, FL

KU could face pre-season No. 15 Alabama along with Belmont, Dayton, Drake, Iona, North Texas, and Miami rounding out the mid-season tournament bracket.

Kansas vs UTEP – Kansas City, MO

The Miners gave KU quite a bit of trouble last season as KU struggled to come away with a five-point win in a last-minute addition to the regular season.

Combine that with the fact that KU tends to struggle in December games in Kansas City, and we should have ourselves a close game.

Coach Self’s nature to schedule a challenging non-conference should prepare and say a lot about his team. If the guys can withstand fights from both blue bloods and solid non-Power Five teams, they will be in a good spot when the games matter most.
