Kansas football will be ushering in a new era under the guidance of head coach Lance Leipold. Among many changes, offensive coordinator Andy Kotelnicki will be a new face to lead this offense and will aim to stir things up this fall.

Following Coach Leipold from Buffalo, Kotelnicki brings nearly 17 years of coaching experience to Lawrence. KU’s offense has been among the poorest in the Big 12 since 2010 and fans have been waiting a long time for changes.

That opportunity has arisen once again, this time in the Lance Leipold era. Kotelnicki was brought onto Coach Leipold’s staff at Buffalo in 2015. He orchestrated one of the Bulls’ best offenses in 2020, averaging an impressive 43 points per game and supporting a 6-1 record on the year.

Now, it’ll be time for Kotelnicki to put his twist on things at Kansas to create a successful offense. The only question is: what differences should we be expecting this fall?

Let’s take a look.
