Kansas basketball has revealed their participation in the upcoming 2021 ESPN Events Invitational in Orlando, Florida from Nov. 25-28.

The Jayhawks have won this particular tournament before in 2014, then known as the Orlando Invitational.

Participants of the 2021 event include Kansas, Alabama, Belmont, Dayton, Drake, Iona, Miami, and North Texas in a 12 game bracket over three days.

A similar invite, the Champion’s Classic, showcased Kansas in an early-season battle with both Gonzaga and St. Joseph’s.

This offseason, Kansas has acquired some exciting talent and will have a much different look in November. This tourney will serve as a clue for what kind of changes we’ll see throughout the season.

Programs such as Drake could end up having an interesting meeting with Kansas, considering the transfer of former Bulldogs guard Joseph Yesufu.

Besides having something other than football to watch on Thanksgiving, fans should expect a new look from this Jayhawks’ offense.

Changes to this Kansas team’s roster will likely include both Yesufu and recent addition Remy Martin, a major offseason pickup for the Jayhawks this offseason. Securing Martin boosted the Jayhawks’ rank to No. 5 on ESPN’s “Way too early Top-25“.

These two could make strides on Kansas’ perimeter attack, which may become a lethal weapon for this team if they play their cards right.

Making good impressions early will be a must, as the Orlando tourney will be an opportunity for the Jayhawks to keep their name in the conversation of an NCAA title.
