Kansas basketball has gained yet another addition to their roster for next season, this time coming from veteran guard Jalen Coleman-Lands of Big 12 neighbor Iowa State.

Coleman-Lands announced his decision Wednesday morning and is expecting to finish his college career with the Jayhawks’ program following his recent interest in the NBA Draft.

Shooting 40 percent from the three-point line last season, Coleman-Lands was a contributing part of the Cyclones offense.

Now, it seems Jalen is locked in with a Kansas team that has been regarded as an NCAA title favorite following the commitment of Arizona State transfer Remy Martin.

Coleman-Lands averaged 14 points per game last season at Iowa State, supporting the second-worst offense in the Big 12.

However, the experience Jalen brings is something worthy of note. Bringing minutes from Illinois, DePaul, and Iowa State, this player has seen a lot of college basketball.

It’s kinda hard to pinpoint how much time he’ll see in 2021, but it’s not to say he doesn’t have the potential to do so. Coleman-Lands holds some fun highlights from his days at DePaul.

While both Ochai Agbaji and Jalen Wilson continue to test the waters in the NBA Draft, Coleman-Lands will join the roster and fuel the perimeter debate heading into summer.

Considering one of them decides to jump ship, a scholarship will become available and will make for an interesting scenario.

Regardless, the addition of Coleman-Lands is an interesting one that could pay dividends next season. Experience doesn’t hurt, especially when some of it is coming from the Big 12.

Next. Remy Martin's commitment is a game changer. dark
