As Kansas basketball expands its interest into the Class of 2022, Chris Livingston is another prospect to have received an intriguing offer from the Jayhawks.

The small forward out of Akron, Ohio stands at 6′ 6” and brings quite a bit of strength to the table.

Putting an average of 31 points per game on the stat sheet this past season, Livingston has climbed his way to the No. 6 spots on the 2022 ESPN 60 index.

Considered one of the most highly profiled five-star recruits out there, Chris has received attention from programs such as Florida, North Carolina, LSU, and Akron.

His highlights showcase an authoritative approach to the basket, accompanied by his ability to make space in heavy traffic for exciting plays.

Aside from his strength, Livingston has a good amount of speed. This complements his ability to become a “go-to” player in the paint.

Pursuing Livingston should be on Kansas’ agenda heading into this summer, considering his senior year will be approaching quickly when school gets back in session.

Kansas will, realistically, only have current junior David McCormack for another season, considering he departs for the NBA next year.

With this in mind, it may be time for KU to lock in on someone who can take over the duties inside.

The Jayhawks have looked into forwards over the past year, however, Livingston’s resume should deserve similar attention.

Head coach Bill Self should keep an eye on Chris’ ambitions. There’s a possibility what he’s looking for lays right here in Lawrence.
