It appears Kansas basketball has conducted a zoom meeting with Oklahoma transfer De’Vion Harmon, a talented sophomore that head coach Bill Self should keep on his radar.

Harmon entered the transfer portal last week following his previous decision to enter the NBA Draft. The sophomore transfer received a decent amount of attention over the last few days.

Texas, Kentucky, Gonzaga, and Texas Tech are just a handful of the schools reaching out to the young point guard.

This includes consideration from Kansas, which sparks an interesting conversation about what De’Vion could bring to the Jayhawks’ program.

In his 2020-21 season, De’Vion averaged nearly 13 points per game and was one of the Sooners’ most versatile playmakers.

Back in January, he posted a 22 point performance during a win against Kansas in Norman.

Harmon can find the hoop in tight situations, giving him an edge in sticky defensive situations. His highlights also feature a quick-release three-point jumper, that looks very smooth.

Adding more support up to might not be a bad idea, considering the possible departures of Ochai Agbaji and Jalen Wilson.

With the recent signing of Bobby Pettiford, Kanas will need to find ways to support their perimeter attack and help grow consistency from their guards.

This past season opened up many avenues for improvement, particularly confidence from the outside. Hopefully, we’ll see some improvement from our newest additions, as well as from our returning contributors.

Building some chemistry with an experienced Big 12 point guard could work wonders. With the changes happening to this roster, Coach Self should maintain consistent contact with Harmon.
