Continuing to plow through the offseason, Kansas basketball’s efforts are pushing towards securing four-star recruit TyTy Washington.

Washington has announced his top six schools, which include Kansas among others such as Baylor, Arizona, Kentucky, Oregon, and LSU.

The Jayhawks will be competing with Big 12 foe Baylor for the prospect, which makes his final decision all the more interesting.

The young point guard will bring quite a bit of potential to wherever he goes. Based on some of his latest highlights, his quick decision-making would be a strong addition to Kansas’ roster.

TyTy has been one of the most-watched recruits in college basketball, and it makes sense that Kansas would be working hard to gain the valuable prospect.

Kansas head coach Bill Self has met with Washington, and their conversations appear to have gone seemingly well.

It seems that Coach Self has expressed serious interest in TyTy, considering these comments by the young prospect.

The environment is key, and there’s no doubt that it’s on his mind during this recruitment process. However, with the ongoing investigations from the NCAA involving Coach Self, any decisions made this summer on the matter could strongly influence his decision.

There doesn’t appear to be any set date for TyTy’s decision, however, it’s a good sign that his interest in Kansas remains strong.

While TyTy could end up anywhere, Kansas could provide a stable and competitive Big 12 roster to help build his growth. At the same time, an intriguing offer from Baylor could also give him a seat in the same conference with a respected program.

Fans should expect the clock to continue on this one, and hopefully, Kansas will be involved when he narrows his choices down further.
