Kansas football spring analysis and early impressions

Recap

Heading into 2021, Kansas will have some potential to develop a competitive rushing attack, but it won’t be what you think.

This program is still going to be getting back on their feet next season, which put our running backs in a frustrating spot but also allows for growth.

Considering the young talent available in the Jayhawks’ backfield, there should be a significant development in the long term.

As Kansas football progresses into the Summer, we’ll hopefully get some early looks at local commit Devin Neal, who was a dominant running back at Lawrence High School.

Facilitating younger talent is going to become increasingly harder for schools due to the NCAA’s transfer rules, and it’s a good sign that Kansas has some solid candidates behind the ball.

The rotation will hopefully allow for enough opportunities for our running backs to showcase what they can bring to our offense. The good news is, Kansas’ spring practices are going positively and fans should anticipate an interesting spring game on May 1st.
