Five Kansas basketball players to watch during March Madness
Ochai Agbaji
Kansas’ presence from the perimeter has raised some concerns with fans over the year, but last Wednesday’s Big 12 quarterfinal against Oklahoma was both a reassuring performance for fans and an excellent look for junior guard Ochai Agbaji.
Agbaji went 4 of 8 from the three-point line, helping Kansas secure the win over the Sooners.
While the Jayhawks didn’t get to finish what they started, their win over Oklahoma made them strong contenders for the conference tourney.
If Ochai is starting to find his groove, it’s happening at the right time. The main concern, however, is the time away from the floor.
Without a performance in what will be over a week, it shouldn’t surprise fans if he comes out cold.
Agbaji’s contributions to this offense shouldn’t go unnoticed, however, as he has been one of Kansas’ most productive guards, averaging 14 points per game.

An upperclassman, Ochai will play an important role on this Kansas team. If he can channel some energy and find success at the basket, he’ll be a strong asset down the stretch.
