Following a quarterfinal win over Oklahoma, Kansas was one of the better looking contenders within the tournament and originally planning to take on Texas for a seat in the tournament championship on Saturday.
While details are fairly limited right now, some information has been able to slip through the cracks.
It seems that Tyon Grant-Foster has let fans know that sophomore Jalen Wilson received a positive test and that KU is still planning to compete in the NCAA Tournament via Instagram Live.
What’s next?
Within Kansas’ plan following the test result, it states that the team will prepare for the NCAA Tournament by remaining in Kansas City, Missouri under protocols set by Kansas’ health team.
If contact tracing reveals any more positive cases within the program, the possibility to play in the NCAA Tournament will look very bleak for Kansas.
