Verbally committing his talents to Kansas basketball, forward Gradey Dick is an interesting playmaker joining the 2022 recruiting class.

Gradey Dick of Wichita, Kansas made his verbal commitment to Kansas basketball Wednesday evening, joining the Jayhawks’ 2022 recruiting class.

Standing at 6’7”, Dick has been noted as a “skilled shooter” and has been turning heads during his time at Sunrise Christian.

Along with his strong sophomore highlights, Gradey has put together a 4-star rating at 247 Sports and at the forward position, Kansas can hardly complain.

Gradey has some immediate family members who have graduated from Kansas, along with a friendship with Christian Braun that has influenced his decision.

Dick had received interest from various talented programs including Baylor, Purdue, Creighton, and Alabama.

With the large number of offers Grady had received, we should stay sharp in case he makes a sudden change, as he still has a considerable amount of time left to finish his high school career.

Let’s hope he sticks with his home state pick, as adding more in-state recruits is an excellent look for Kansas basketball in my opinion.

Nonetheless, his addition to the 2022 recruiting class is a major win for head coach Bill Self, considering the press fire due to the on-going NCAA allegations against the program.
