Kansas basketball’s seat in this year’s NCAA Tournament could get a little better with a home win against Baylor tonight, we’ve put together a few keys for the Jayhawks ahead of tip-off.

Following a tough overtime loss to Texas this past Tuesday, Kansas basketball will look to rebound their efforts at home against the Baylor Bears.

Despite scheduling an additional game at home vs. UTEP set for March 4th, Kansas’ most important matchup of the regular season will take place tonight against a tough conference foe.

Kansas needs to put that last loss out of their minds, as their main priority should be knocking off one of the Big 12’s toughest programs.

While holding a home advantage, which isn’t much currently due to the pandemic, Kansas will have a lot on its plate this evening.

Stopping the Bears’ offense will be a critical point of interest for head coach Bill Self, and that’s assuming our defense remains consistent. The Jayhawks’ defense has improved over the last few weeks, with senior Marcus Garrett stepping up to help build more pressure.

Regardless, Kansas’ senior night will be a true test for the resilience of this team. This might even impact the level of play we see from upperclassmen such as Garrett and Lightfoot.

The matchup will feature a very talented Bears program despite their absence from the floor for the majority of the month. This will open up some opportunities for the Jayhawks to gain an edge.

Here’s a few keys for Kansas basketball in their season finale against Baylor.
