Ben Easters

During Kansas football’s early signing period, Ben Easters was the only quarterback at the time to cement his place in Lawrence for next season.

Making his way from Indiana, Easters knew he was entering a struggling, rebuilding program.

In an interview on Down To The Wire, Ben expressed his faith in Miles’ ambitions to re-work the Jayhawks from the ground up. It’s a good sign that he showed a heavy level of interest in the Kansas coaching staff, as it will hopefully make for cooperative relations.

Easters adds more height to the Jayhawks QB list, which is a positive thing to note.

Former offensive coordinator Brent Dearmon was apart of Easters’ recruitment process and his recent departure will play a factor in his development coming in as a freshman.

Hopefully, DeBord will be able to accommodate Easter’s playing style and connect with the young quarterback in the spring. It’s a tough transition for everyone on this offense and with DeBord’s extensive coaching background, it’ll be an interesting change for the Jayhawks.
