If there’s a freshman getting good time on the floor for Kansas basketball, it’s Dajuan Harris. The freshman has been finding strong minutes this season and is developing quite a bit of talent along the way.

Kansas basketball has faced more adversity than we may have expected heading into their conference schedule, but despite the misfortunes, Dajuan Harris has been finding time on the floor and is becoming a strong contributor on this Jayhawk roster.

Harris has seen adequate time for a freshman and his speed factor is an obvious sell for head coach Bill Self. The guard has been able to merge his speed with the quick tempo offense ran by this starting five.

Compared with Enaruna, Grant-Foster, and Thompson (currently injured), Harris has found a decent amount of time and success on the floor for Kansas. There’s a way to go in the season but he has had some promising appearances, including a starting five spot versus TCU following senior Marcus Garrett’s injury.

Dajuan averages between 10-20 minutes per game along with a few points, but where he shines is his ability to beat guys down the court and help create offensive opportunities. His ball movement is special and at his size, he could develop into a very lethal scoring threat.

We should expect Harris to continue to find minutes throughout the rest of the season and hopefully, he’ll be able to channel more life into this offense. That kind of spark could be utilized tomorrow against the Sooners on the road in Norman.
