Kansas basketball will get a nice vacation after rattling off eight wins in a row including three quadrant one victories.

Kansas basketball is proving that they have what it take to reach a Final Four this season despite losing Udoka Azubuike and Devon Dotson. The Jayhawks have one eight games in a row after dropping their first game of the season to No. 1 Gonzaga on a neutral floor, climbing to the No. 3 spot in the latest AP Poll.

Already, Kansas has a very impressive resume with wins over Creighton, Texas Tech, and West Virginia. It’s still extremely early, but Kansas is predicted to be a No. 1 seed in Joe Lunardi’s latest Bracketology. Once again it’s only December, but this just goes to show that Kansas did well setting themselves up for conference play.

Kansas is 2-0 so far in the Big 12, and now they’ll get a long break before a top ten matchup with Texas on January 2. This break should give the Jayhawks a chance to rest after playing nine games in less than a month. After facing Texas, the Jayhawks will hit an “easier” portion of their conference schedule.

Here is how things are looking for Kansas toward the beginning of 2021:

1/2 vs. Texas

1/5 @ TCU

1/9 vs. Oklahoma

1/12 @ Oklahoma St.

1/16 vs. Iowa St.

1/18 @ Baylor

The stretch between Texas and Baylor shouldn’t be too bad, but facing Baylor on the road is going to be a tall task. The Bears are legit, and facing them in Waco should give us an idea of just how great the Jayhawks are this season. It will also be a key Big 12 game considering Baylor and Kansas are the two frontrunners to win the Big 12 this season.
