Kansas basketball’s modified 2020-21 season is set to begin on November 25 against Boise State according to reports.

Kansas basketball’s 2020-21 schedule is finally starting to fall into place. The college basketball season is set to begin on November 25, and the Jayhawks are set to play against Boise State on that day in Orlando according to Jon Rothstein.

Kansas will be part of a four-team tournament that takes place on November 25 and 26. The other two teams involved are UCLA and Seton Hall.

This tournament will be a great chance for the Jayhawks to grab some quality wins early in the season. Boise State should be a very winnable game for Kansas, as the Broncos finished last season with a 20-12 overall record and an 11-7 record in conference play.

UCLA will likely be the team the Jayhawks face in the championship assuming Kansas takes care of Boise State. The Bruins are supposed to be a solid team in the Pac-12 this season, coming in ranked No. 19 in the country according to ESPN’s Way-Too-Early Top 25 (Kansas is No. 8).

While they weren’t included in ESPN’s rankings, Seton Hall will have a solid squad this season too. Busting Brackets put them at No. 3 in the Big East, and they will probably find their way into the AP Poll at some point next season. Kansas could end up seeing them in the championship too so hopefully, they’ll go on to have a great season in the Big East.

This tournament should help set the tone for the Jayhawks this season. Kansas has the most talent out of the teams playing, and there’s no excuse for them not to take home the trophy. Plus, things are only going to get more difficult from here.

The Champions Classic is reportedly going to take place on December 1, and the Jayhawks will be taking on a talented Kentucky team. Depending on the AP Poll and who makes it to the championship game of the between UCLA and Seton Hall, the Jayhawks could very well play two top 20 teams in less than a week.
