Five-star 2021 point guard JD Davison will be announcing his commitment tomorrow evening and Kansas basketball may be his pick.

Kansas basketball could use a big splash in their 2021 recruiting class. They may get it tomorrow night from JD Davison, a five-star point guard who’s the best recruit in the country at his position according to 247 Sports.

The Jayhawks do have some stiff competition though, especially from Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Memphis, and Michigan, who also make up Davison’s top choices. Considering he’s from Alabama, it looks like there’s certainly a decent chance that he ends up at either Alabama or Auburn.

Still, there are 0 Crystal Ball predictions for Davison as of now on 247 Sports. On Rivals, forecasts have been made; however, there is no consensus with, Auburn, Alabama, and LSU each receiving a vote or two.

It certainly seems like Davison has kept his decision under wraps, which will make it very interesting to find out where the five-star prospect will be playing college ball. His commitment is set for tomorrow, October 3, at 5:00 pm CDT.

Like most recruits that are targeted by Kansas and Bill Self, Davison likes the fact that the Jayhawks are considered to be a blue blood. Davison even went so far as to say that Kansas one of his dream schools: “They’re a blue blood and one of my dream schools, I’ve been watching them since I was a kid, I like their play-style, environment and their coach” (via 247).

If the Jayhawks are able to pick up JD Davison, he’ll easily catapult their 2021 recruiting class into the top 10 in the country and maybe even the top five. Kansas already has a pair of solid four-stars with KJ Adams and Zach Clemence, so landing a five-star as talented at Davison would be huge for Bill Self and the Jayhawks moving forward, especially considering the allegations made by the NCAA.
