Kansas basketball is a top choice of Trey Alexander, a four-star shooting guard in the 2021 recruiting class who could really help the Jayhawks.

Trey Alexander would be an excellent addition to Kansas basketball’s 2021 recruiting class. The four-star guard is ranked as the No. 62 overall prospect in his class according to 247Sports, but pulling him away from his local school may be a challenge.

In his top seven, Alexander mentioned Grambling State, Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Georgia, Auburn, and Ole Miss. Alexander has three Crystal Ball predictions, all three in favor of the Sooners, and it’s worth noting that he is from Oklahoma City. All the predictions were made in July though, so things may have changed between now and then.

Here is Trey Alexander’s post announcing his top seven, including the Kansas Jayhawks:

As of now, Kansas basketball’s 2021 recruiting class ranks No. 21 in the nation and No. three in the Big 12 behind Baylor and Texas. If the Jayhawks were to get a commitment from Alexander, their 2021 class would easily jump all the way into the top ten in the nation.

Then again, recruiting Alexander away from Oklahoma seems like it will be a challenge for Bill Self and his staff. The Sooners are essentially his home team, but it won’t be impossible for the Jayhawks. They have a great track record of developing four-star guards with guys like Tyshawn Taylor, Ben McLemore, and Marcus Garrett.

After watching some highlights of Alexander, he looks like a guy that could really succeed with the  Kansas Jayhawks. He can hit shots from behind the arc with consistency, and he’s not afraid to pull up and take a three on a fast break.

light. LIST. Ranking the top 10 Jayhawks of all time

Trey Alexander is definitely a recruit for Kansas basketball fans to keep an eye on whether he cuts his list again or commits. There’s no doubt that he’d be a fine addition to the Jayhawks’ 2021 class, so hopefully Self and his staff can convince Alexander to join the Jayhawks.
