Kansas football vs. Oklahoma State: Game time and channel announced
Kansas football’s game time and channel on October 3 at home against Oklahoma State has officially been announced.
Despite concerns regarding COVID-19, this 2020 season is rolling along with the Big Ten about to join in the fun. Some details for Kansas football’s game at home against Oklahoma State have finally been released too, and it looks like the Jayhawks will be playing on national television once again.
The game time is set for 2:30 PM (CDT) on Saturday, October 3 and the channel will be either ABC or ESPN according to Kansas Athletics. Kansas also played on national television in their season opener against Coastal Carolina, but that game was at 9:00 PM. This 2:30 start is unquestionably favorable to the late-night game considering the contest against Coastal Carolina didn’t end until well past midnight.
So far, Kansas Athletics have yet to announce whether or not fans will be allowed to attend the game against Oklahoma State. It’s probably safe to assume that a decision will not be made until next week to allow for as much data as possible to be gathered.
As of now, both Kansas and Oklahoma State have avoided major snags due to COVID-19 this season, but that run could come to an end soon for the Jayhawks. Kansas is supposed to face Baylor next Saturday; however, the Bears’ most recent game was postponed due to Baylor not meeting the Big 12’s requirements regarding the virus. In the event that Kansas does not take on Baylor this Saturday, the Jayhawks will essentially have had two weeks to get ready for Oklahoma State.
As of now, there’s no reason to think that Oklahoma State is going to have issues with COVID-19. The Cowboys are set to play West Virginia this Saturday in Stillwater, which should be an interesting game given the fact that Tulsa gave OSU all they could handle last week.
