NBA all-star Kevin Durant hyped up former Kansas basketball star Devonte’ Graham and his progress in the NBA through two seasons.

So far, Kansas basketball alum Devonte’ Graham’s NBA career is off to a great start. He averaged 18.2 points and 7.5 assists per game last season with the Charlotte Hornets, and he certainly seems to be trending in the right direction. As a matter of fact, one of the NBA’s very best has some high praise for Graham after his second season in the league.

Kevin Durant, the 2014 MVP, 10-time all-star, and two-time NBA champion, commented on Graham and his development over such a short period of time, “Devonte’ Graham impressed me. Just to see his ascent to where he is…he’s developing into a really good player.”

That’s really high praise from one of the best players in the league, and it really makes you wonder what Graham will be capable of in the future, both short and long term. He seems like he could be ready to make an all-star appearance within the next few years considering the trajectory he appears to be on.

One thing that could help Graham though is if the Hornets either put more talent around him or trade him to a contender. Charlotte finished last season with a 23-42 record last season, and things don’t look like they’re going to be getting better in the short term.

That being said, there’s no reason why Graham can’t continue to get better and show the league that he’s one of the best point guards out there. He’s already turning heads considering Durant’s comment, and it’s only a matter of time until the rest of the league and the media are on board with Graham too.
