November 21, Kansas football vs. Texas

Kansas gave Texas all they could handle last season in Austin. The Jayhawks converted a two-point conversion with just over one minute left in the game to give themselves the lead 48-47, but there was too much time left on the clock. Quarterback Sam Ehlinger led the Longhorns down the field, and Cameron Dicker kicked a 33-yard field goal as time expired to give Texas the win 50-48.

Ehlinger will be back this season to lead the Longhorns, and he could be labeled as the best QBs in the conference. Texas should also have a solid run game behind junior running back Keaontay Ingram. On defense, the Longhorns are returning nine of their starters from last season, so they should be a solid unit in 2020 barring injuries.

Along with Oklahoma and Oklahoma State, Texas is considered a real contender for the Big 12 title this season. Once again, this is going to be a tough game for the Jayhawks to come out on top of. It is at home, and if the Jayhawks can keep it close, that’d probably be good enough for most fans. Both teams will also have a bye week heading into this game, so we’ll see if that benefits one team over another.

Prediction: Kansas 10, Texas 34
