November 7, Kansas football @ Oklahoma

Playing against Oklahoma is never easy, especially in Norman where Kansas hasn’t won since 1996. When the Jayhawks played the Sooners at home last season, Oklahoma came away with a 20-45 win even though the Sooners played a sloppy game.

Head coach Lincoln Riley has yet to name a starting quarterback between Spencer Rattler and Tanner Mordecai. Whoever Riley decides to go with is largely irrelevant for Kansas, because the Oklahoma offense will be one of the best in the Big 12 no matter who he picks.

While the Sooners are a little more questionable on defense, they made major strides last season. They’ll easily be the favorite to win the Big 12 for the sixth time in a row this season, which makes it difficult to see the Jayhawks having much of a chance on the road this late in the season unless Oklahoma has a major injury problem.

For Kansas, they just need to try and keep the game competitive. No national media will give them a chance on the road, so maybe the Jayhawks can use their massive underdog role as an advantage. Things aren’t going to get any easier next week either.

Prediction: Kansas 13, Oklahoma 52
