October 3, Kansas football vs. Oklahoma State

In their third game of the season, the Jayhawks will return home to take on the Oklahoma State Cowboys. Kansas went on the road to Stillwater last season and was defeated in a 13-31 loss, and the Cowboys should be a strong team this season too. As a matter of fact, they’re expected to compete for a conference title.

They’ll be returning running back Chuba Hubbard who decimated opposing defenses last season. He totaled 2,094 rushing yards on the year, including a 122-yard and two-touchdown performance against Kansas in 2019. The Cowboys will also have quarterback Spencer Sanders back for his sophomore year, he won the Big 12 Offensive Freshman of the Year last season.

The Cowboys should have a high caliber offense, and their defense is looking good as well. They returned most of their key guys on that side of the ball, so the lack of turnover is definitely positive.

For the Kansas Jayhawks, this is going to be a tough game to win despite the game being at home. Oklahoma State has a legitimate chance to make a run at the Big 12 championship this season, and Kansas is going be trying to just win a few games. This is the kind of game Kansas will need to try and just stay competitive in.

Prediction: Kansas 10, Oklahoma State 38
