December 5, Kansas football @ Texas Tech

In the Jayhawks’ final game of the season, they’ll take on the Texas Tech Red Raiders on the road. Kansas claimed their only Big 12 victory of the year last season when they defeated Texas Tech 38-35 on a game-winning field goal in walk-off fashion.

This season, Texas Tech isn’t expected to be anything special. Quarterback Alan Bowman will be back this season after sustaining an injury before he could face Kansas last season. Running back SaRodorick Thompson will also be returning to the team for the 2020 season after rushing for over 700 yards last season.

While the defense didn’t lose too many players, the ones they did lose were very important, most notably Jordyn Brooks and Douglas Coleman III.

Once again, Kansas football will have a great chance for a win on the road against the Red Raiders. Given this game is so late in the season, both teams could be battling injuries, allowing Kansas to get a leg up if Texas Tech is struggling.

Since Texas Tech seems to be low on talent this season, Kansas could very well be able to walk away with a win.

Prediction: Kansas 41, Texas Tech 38
