This year’s Rock Chalk Roundball Classic will feature a three-point contest between Kansas basketball greats. Here’s how and where to tune in.

The Rock Chalk Roundball Classic is going to look a little bit different tonight. Due to the effects of COVID-19, the event will feature a three-point contest called Shooting With the Stars, rather than the traditional basketball game. Despite the change, this is something that any Kansas basketball fan will need to watch though.

The contest will feature some of the greatest Jayhawks of all time. The lineup consists of Terry Brown, Billy Thomas, Jeff Boschee, Kirk Hinrich, Sherron Collins, Brandon Rush, Mario Chalmers, Tyrel Reed, Devonte’ Graham, and Svi Mykhailiuk. Those are some serious sharpshooters, many of whom either spent time in the NBA or are currently in the league.

For the format, every participant will receive 25 attempts in the first round. From there, the five with the highest score move on to the final round, where they get 10 attempts from anywhere they want behind the arc, unlike the first round. The highest combined score between rounds one and two is the winner.

The event is set to begin tonight at 7:00 pm CDT. The game can be watched on Midco, Spectrum, Cox, KCWE29, and WIBW. The contest can also be streamed live on kusports.com.

In addition to the three-point shootout, there will also be a number of silent auctions for memorabilia, as well as 30-minute Zoom calls with KU greats like Cole Aldrich, Nick Collison, Scot Pollard, and many others.

Of course, the money raised from this event including the auctions will go to Easton, Eli, and Tinley’s families. All three of whom are fighting pediatric cancer. Whether you watch the event on TV, stream it, or bid in the auctions, you’re supporting a great cause!
