Kansas football picks up class of ’22 o-lineman Brock Burns
Kansas football has landed Brock Burns, a three-star offensive lineman in the class of 2022 from Ozark, Arkansas.
Kansas football has picked up its second class of ’22 commitment just a few days after the first. Brock Burns, a three-star offensive lineman according to 247Sports, will be a Jayhawk once he graduates high school. He’s a great addition to the 2022 class, and it looks like there’s a trend developing.
Burns will be joining fellow Arkansas native, quarterback Austin Myers, in Kansas’ 2022 recruiting class. It looks like the Natural State is a key target for head coach Les Miles and his staff, and it’ll be interesting to see how many more prospects Kansas can bring in from that area if their recent success is any indicator.
Burns also makes Kansas one of only nine schools to have landed multiple commits in the class of 2022. Getting guys this early is good for Kansas, they may be able to find some diamonds in the rough.
Here is Burns’ Tweet announcing his commitment to the Kansas Jayhawks:
Standing at six-foot-five and 275 pounds, Burns definitely has the size to make an impact for the Jayhawks. In his sophomore year highlights, he physically dominates his opponents, oftentimes driving them into the ground or over five yards into the second level. Burns shows a lot of promise, especially given the fact that he’s just a sophomore, and it’s no wonder that the Kansas coaching staff is interested.
With the right guidance from offensive line coach Luke Meadows, Burns could become a cornerstone member of the Jayhawks’ offensive line once he joins the team. There’s no doubt that he’s a great pick up for the 2022 class, and that Les Miles and his staff are really trying to change the culture.
