Kansas football lands undervalued recruit Larson Workman
Kansas football landed its fourteenth commitment this morning with Larson Workman announcing that he’d be a Jayhawk.
Kansas football is up to its fourteenth commitment in the 2021 recruiting class. Offensive lineman and Texas native Larson Workman is the latest Jayhawk to join the class, but Workman isn’t a well-known recruit. As a matter of fact, he hasn’t got much attention at all from Power Five schools or different recruiting outlets.
As of now, Workman holds offers from Arkansas State, Eastern Michigan, Florida International, South Dakota, and a few other schools. He has received some attention from Baylor, Illinois, and Texas Tech though.
While Workman isn’t highly recruited, that doesn’t mean he’s a bad commit. He has good size at six-foot-five and 270 pounds, which gives the staff a lot to work with. He could easily be molded into a Power Five caliber lineman in the future. His junior year highlights are good, and he can be seen regularly pancaking defensive lineman or driving them 5+ yards into the linebackers, so he’s got the potential.
Here is Larson Workman’s tweet announcing his commitment to Kansas football as part of the 2021 recruiting class:
With the commitment of Workman, Kansas’ 2021 recruiting class now ranks No. 47 in the nation and No. 6 in the Big 12 according to Rivals. If Miles and his staff can bring in a few more highly-rated recruits, the 2021 class may be one of the best in recent memory for Miles and the Jayhawks.
Workman may not be headlining the Jayhawks’ 2021 recruiting class, but don’t count him out yet. With his frame, he could become a key part of the Jayhawks’ offensive line sometime in the future with some good coaching.
