Bill Self and Kansas basketball have extended an offer to Logan Landers, a versatile three-star recruit.

Despite his three-star rating from Rivals and 247Sports, Logan Landers can help Kansas basketball as a member of the Jayhawks’ 2021 recruiting class. He’s a big man that has the ability to stretch the floor, which is a highly sought after skill set these days.

So far, Landers holds offers from Kansas, Kansas State, TCU, Missouri, Texas A&M, USC, Iowa, and others. He attends Brookfield Academy and stands at six-foot-nine and 215 pounds. The fact that he can shoot so well for his size is what makes him so highly recruited, here’s what his AAU coach had to say about his skill and uniqueness:

"“[Landers] will get what he puts in. He’s natural, feels the game well, and is very skilled. I would be shocked if there are two or three others that are 6-foot-10 with his size that move like him and are as skilled as him in the country in the 2021 class. So when you talk about a true diamond in the rough, he’s him. He’s it.” (Via GoPowercat)"

The big man that can stretch the floor is the big thing in basketball, and teams in both college and in the pros are willing to do what it takes to bring these guys in, so Self may have to get creative.

There’s no doubt that Self and Kansas think Landers could be a great asset at Kansas, especially if he spends some time developing. Considering the Jayhawks have an excellent reputation of developing three and four-year players, this could be a selling point for Kansas.

Kansas basketball’s 2021 recruiting class only has one member so far: Zach Clemence. While Landers wouldn’t be a massive boost to the Jayhawks’ recruiting class rating (currently No. 20), he could end up being one of those under the radar players that makes a difference for the Jayhawks.
