In an interesting turn of events, Kansas football is now the favorite to land four-star recruit Keon Coleman out of Louisiana.

At first, it seemed like Kansas football may be on the outside looking in when it comes to Keon Coleman’s commitment. Coleman did list the Jayhawks in his top three schools along with Oklahoma and South Carolina; however, most experts predicted that Coleman was going to be a Sooner.

That changed last night.

Multiple experts flipped their Crystal Ball predictions to Kansas, with 247Sports now giving the Jayhawks an 81 percent chance at landing the four-star wide receiver. It’s also of note that all four lead experts now project Coleman to be at Kansas.

The same thing happened at Rivals, where 10 of their experts flipped their predictions from Oklahoma to Kansas. The Jayhawks now have a 75 percent chance at Coleman per Rivals.

Obviously, the Crystal Ball and predictions aren’t everything, but they are nice indicators. The fact that so many experts flipped their predictions has to be a good sign for the Jayhawks, but nobody will know for sure until Coleman makes his decision known.

Coleman is set to commit on July 4th at 7:00 PM central time via Instagram Live. Make sure you are on his correct Instagram account: @keoncoleman3.

In addition to being a big-time football recruit with offers from schools like Florida State, Miami, Georgia, Ole Miss, Michigan State, and Penn State, Coleman also has D-1 basketball talent. When talking to Rivals, Coleman said:

"“Coach Miles said I can make an impact on the football team and Coach Self said I could do the same for basketball. They had a lot of coaches on the call.”"

Having the opportunity to play both football and basketball at the college level is rare, and it just goes to show what kind of athlete Coleman is. Should he choose the Jayhawks, Coleman would also have the unique chance to be coached by two coaches that have won national titles.

Coleman would be a huge commit for the 2021 class, and there’s a chance that he could be the top recruit in the Jayhawks’ class. Now that the Jayhawks seem to be the favorite, keep an eye on his Instagram on Independence Day.
