Kansas football made the cut for Elijah Sabbatini, a safety that would be a good addition to the Jayhawks’ 2021 recruiting class.

It’s been a few weeks since Kansas football has landed a recruit in their 2021 class. As a result, the Jayhawks have dropped in some recruiting rankings, but that alright. There’s a long time between now and national signing day, plus, the Jayhawks are in the hunt for an under the radar safety Elijah Sabbatini who included Kansas in his top eight.

Sabbatini attends Biloxi High School in Mississippi and currently holds offers from a number of schools despite being unrated by both Rivals and 247Sports. Sabbatini has offers from Kansas, Louisville, West Virginia, Indiana, Air Force, Memphis, UAB, Nevada, and many others.

Interestingly, Sabbatini’s only offer from his home state is Southern Miss. For some reason, both Ole Miss and Mississippi State appear to be passing on him, so take that as you will.

According to his high school’s Twitter page, Sabbatini has some solid high school stats:

  • 182 tackles
  • 4 interceptions
  • 2 foreced fumbles
  • 500+ return yards

In his highlight film, Sabbatini shows off his athleticism on both ends of the ball. As a receiver, he shows some breakaway speed with the ability to get yards after the catch. On the defensive side of things, Sabbatini does a great job anticipating and “making the play.”

Sabbatini also shows off his ability as a return man, which is an added bonus that his school of choice could utilize if they choose to do so.

More. Three winnable road Big 12 games for the Jayhawks. light

Despite being under the radar, Sabbatini would be an excellent addition the Kansas football’s 2021 recruiting class, which currently ranks No. 48 in the country according to 247Sports. Should he decide to commit to Miles and the Jayhawks, Sabbatini would be the first safety in Kansas’ class.
