Maybe not one that you expected to see here, but the Jayhawks do have more of a chance at beating Baylor than you may realize despite Baylor’s dominating 61-6 victory last season over Kansas.

For starters, Baylor will be without head coach Matt Rhule who took a job with the Carolina Panthers during the off season. The loss of Rhule will likely be a major blow to the Bears, and it’ll be interesting to see how it affects them on the field.

Not only that, but there’s the extra variability that the coronavirus has introduced. This offseason has been super strange, and it might be just the shakeup that Kansas needs to make a statement in their second game of the year.

Finally, there’s the overconfidence that the Bears could have. After playing Ole Miss in week one, it may be tough for Baylor to take a team they beat by over 50 points the year before seriously. Combining these three factors, and the Jayhawks might have a shot to surprise some folks.

Despite having a tough schedule, Kansas football will have a few chances to take down Big 12 opponents on the road, so don’t sell them short in 2020.
