Kansas football @ West Virginia, October 24

The Jayhawks’ game at West Virginia is definitely winnable despite being on the road. The Mountaineers are a young team, but a lot of those young guys got some experience last season as freshmen. West Virginia will also be returning last season’s starting quarterback Jarret Doege.

Despite returning some pieces from last season, the Mountaineers are projected to be one of the weaker teams in the Big 12 by both Athlon and 247Sports. Similar to Kansas’ game against Texas Tech, this one against West Virginia is later in the season, so we should know what each team is about once gameday rolls around.

While Kansas does have a shot against West Virginia, history is not on the Jayhawks’ side. Kansas has never beaten the Mountaineers in Morgantown, so a win in 2020 would have some historical significance for the Jayhawks.

After their game against the Mountaineers, Kansas will get their bye-week before facing Texas at home.
