Kansas football @ Texas Tech, November 14

Last season, Texas Tech was the only Big 12 team the Jayhawks were able to defeat, and the Red Raiders will provide another winnable game for Kansas in 2020. As a matter of fact, Texas Tech was picked to finish dead last in the conference according to 247Sports.

While Texas Tech will be returning quarterback Alan Bowman and some of their key receivers, the Red Raiders are probably going to be one of the weakest teams in the Big 12 when it comes to defense.

Similar to head coach Les Miles, Texas Tech coach Matt Wells will be in his second season as well. Both coaches will have something to prove this season, and depending on each team’s record, the two second-year coaches trying to succeed at new programs could become a story line for the game.

Since this game will be coming later in the season, we should have a pretty good idea on how Texas Tech and Kansas will match up. Considering defense will likely be a weakness for both teams, this will likely be a high scoring affair.

As long as offensive coordinator Brent Dearmon and the Kansas offense can keep pace, this is a very winnable game for the Jayhawks.
