Kansas basketball head coach Bill Self has been hard at work on recruiting for the future of the Jayhawks. As a matter of fact, Self has offered two prospects in the classes of 2022 and 2023.

Bill Self and the Kansas basketball coaching staff are still getting out and recruiting despite the effects of the coronavirus. Two new high-level prospects have been offered by the Jayhawks: Brandon Huntley-Hatfield and Baye Fall.

Brandon Huntley-Hatfield is a six-foot-eight forward in the class of 2022. He holds multiple offers from schools like Kentucky, Tennessee, Memphis, Auburn, Florida, Seton Hall, and many others. He’s rated as the No. 4 overall recruit in the class of 2022 according to 247 Sports, so he’d certainly be a huge commit for the Jayhawks.

Baye Fall is listed as a six-foot-ten center in the class of 2023. He still doesn’t have a rating yet; however, he should be a five-star when that day comes. So far, he’s been offered by both Kansas and Minnesota.

While both are probably a long way from committing, it’d be smart to keep your eye on both. Baye in particular will likely be flooded with offers in the near future, so it’s a good thing Kansas got to him early in the process.

Huntley-Hatfield, on the other hand, seems to be leaning towards Kentucky according to 247 Sports’ Crystal Ball. Obviously, that’s not set and stone, and an offer from Kansas basketball could change that lean, if it in fact exists.

So far, Kansas basketball’s 2022 and 2023 classes are both empty, but that’s not something to be remotely concerned about right now considering how far into the future both of those classes are.

The decision regarding the NCAA’s allegations against Kansas is something to keep up with though, because it’ll likely have an impact on recruiting depending on the decision.
