Reason No. 3: The home court advantage of Allen Fieldhouse

Allen Fieldhouse. There’s no place like it in the Big 12, or anywhere for that matter. It’s the best home court advantage in all of college basketball and it helps the Jayhawks win games every year. The 16,300 fans are one of the key reasons the Jayhawks have been so successful in Big 12 play.

In the past two seasons, Kansas has lost just one game in Allen Fieldhouse. Being able to win that consistently at home is huge, because it gives the Jayhawks some room for error on the road, if they even need it. Last season’s team actually went undefeated on the road in conference play.

Since teams play half of their conference games at home, Allen Fieldhouse is a huge advantage. If Kansas wins all of their home games and just six of their road games, they give themselves a great chance at winning the conference, and that goes for every season.
