Kansas football in strong contention for three-star corner Maxwell Hairston
Kansas football is in the hunt to land three-star recruit Maxwell Hairston, a class of ’21 cornerback who could really shine as a Jayhawk.
The good news keeps coming for Kansas football. The Jayhawks recently made three-star recruit Maxwell Hairston’s top eight schools along with Arkansas, Boston College, Cincinnati, West Virginia, Iowa State, Ole Miss, and Temple.
Along with announcing his top choices, Hairston also let everyone know that he will be committing on June 3. While he didn’t give any details like a time, it’s a smart idea to keep an eye on his Twitter in the coming days for an announcement with more details.
In addition to his top eight, Hairston also has offers from Maryland, Army, Kent State, Miami (OH), and many others. Here is his Tweet announcing his top eight schools:
Hairston stands at six-foot-one and currently attends West Bloomfield High School in Michigan. He’s ranked as the No. 116 overall recruit in the class of ’21 according to 247 Sports, and while that may not sound like a great ranking, his highlight reel is pretty solid.
In addition to locking down receivers as a cover corner, Hairston also does a great job in run support. Hairston also made a lot of plays on the kickoff team, which could help him get on the field early in his career at the Power Five level.
Hairston would be a fabulous addition to the Kansas Jayhawks 2021 recruiting class which currently ranked No. 41 in the nation and No. 6 in the Big 12 according to 247 Sports. The Jayhawks have been falling a little bit in the rankings as other schools have gotten commitments, but that’s nothing to worry about yet.
Les Miles and his staff have done an excellent job of recruiting the class of ’21 so far, and there’s still quite a while until signing day. Hopefully, when that day comes, Hairston’s name will be on the dotted line.
