Kansas basketball made five-star recruit Kendall Brown’s top 10 list, and the Jayhawks have to be the favorite to land the talented forward.

Kansas basketball landed its first recruit in the class of 2021 last week with four-star Zach Clemence, and it looks like they have a good chance to add another prospect. Five-star recruit Kendall Brown announced his top 10 schools earlier today, and the Jayhawks made the cut.

In addition to Kansas, Brown also narrowed his list down to Baylor, Minnesota, Illinois, Maryland, Ohio State, Marquette, Arkansas, Arizona, and Virginia. Despite facing tough schools, the Jayhawks are the only school so far to have a Crystal Ball prediction on 247 Sports.

Another positive sign for the Jayhawks was the commitment of Clemence, who’s a high school teammate of Brown at Sunrise Christian Academy in Wichita. Hopefully, Clemence can work on getting Brown to commit to Kansas.

As of now, Brown is ranked at the No. 16 overall recruit in the country according to 247 Sports’ composite rating. If he decided to join the Kansas, the Jayhawks would easily have one the best classes up to this point, and maybe even No. 1.

Here is Brown’s top 10 announcement:

Standing at six-foot-seven, Brown isn’t a decent shooter but he can get to the rim and make some difficult shots based on his highlight reel. He seems to be able to handle the ball really well which is impressive given his height.

If the Jayhawks could land Brown, it would be huge. He has a great skill set in addition to his frame, and he’d probably see playing time as a freshman, especially if Bryce Thompson and Ochiai Agbaji choose to leave after next season

However things shake out on the roster next season, Brown would be a great addition to the Jayhawks, and now it’s a waiting game until he decides to commit or cut his list further.
